I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
